The Information Technology Division can provide programming and analysis support for information applications. MSTI works closely with customers to help them define their requirements. MSTI’s experience and expertise can support development of your technology needs. The IT Division can:

• Provide computer hardware and software standards that directly support the seamless manufacturing initiative.

• Develop graphical user interfaces (GUI) for applications using the proprietary Windows environment or an open system design using Web servers and client browsers.

• As a qualified distributor of Hewlett Packard and Siemens, we provide computer hardware and PLC support, including all personal computer platforms, stand-alone and networked.

• Provide network hardware support, including copper and fiber Ethernet cabling, TCP/IP, NetBEUI, and remote access service

• UL 508-certified manufacturing of control panels and PLCs.

• Provide network server administration support for Windows 2000/XP/NT and CAD/CAM applications (e.g., ProE and SolidWorks).

• Provide operating system support, including, Windows 2000/NT, Windows 95/98, and DOS.

• Provide application design support, including data definition models, data process, data flow and data control diagrams, disaster recovery for Windows NT environments, database management systems, and database design and access systems.

• Provide application program support. This includes Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Active Server Pages, Microsoft Internet Information Server, Pro/E, Job Boss, and CribMaster.

• Provide programming language support. This includes C/C++, Visual Basic, Java, and Structured Query Language (SQL) ANSI-89 and greater. We also support web-based technologies using Active Server Pages, JavaScript, and Hypertext Markup Language (HTML).

Science and Technology Division
The Science and Technology Division can take early stage technology from concept to full-scale production. Our highly experienced managers, engineers, and business experts draw upon MSTI’s resources in combination with specialized outsourcing, as needed, to evaluate technologies, perform feasibility studies, and develop business plans, followed by design, testing, and production.

The primary focus of the division at this time is developing production scale microwave melting capabilities. Microwave technology offers the following benefits.

• Microwave melt technology has the potential to save 25+% of the energy consumption from standard metal casting methods creating an annual cost savings of over $700M.
• Substantial reduction in waste and emission control costs.
• Reduction in capital costs.

Other potential opportunities in the early stages of development are high efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filter technology and new membrane separation technology.
