Our team joined CECS leadership, students, and industry partners to celebrate UT’s newest college and its focus on innovation and collaboration.

We enjoyed connecting with the Dean, Dr. Ozlem Kilic, and her team, experiencing the game-day traditions, the Pride of the Southland Band, and a visit from UT President Randy Boyd. MS Technology President, Peter Newby, and his wife Kristin joined MS Technology CEO, Randy Inklebarger, and his wife Gina for a beautiful day on campus.

Randy Inklebarger has been actively engaged with CECS since its launch, supporting the college through guest lectures, program participation, and collaborative discussions. We look forward to continuing our growing partnership with CECS exploring innovative AI applications for managing design requirements on nuclear Cap-X projects.

At last Friday’s East Tennessee Economic Council (ETEC) Meeting, we had the pleasure of introducing Jonathan Ryan, one of our talented Chemical Engineers supporting TRISO-X. Jonathan represents the strong talent advancing next-generation fuel and manufacturing efforts in our region.

We also enjoyed hearing from Dr. Susan Hubbard, Deputy for Science and Technology at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), who shared how ORNL is advancing computing, data, and innovation across the region.

On Monday, October 28th, Dr. Lee Riedinger will give a dinner talk exploring the historic partnership between the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and Oak Ridge National Laboratory, featured in his book “Critical Connections.”

As part of the day, Joe Hull, PE Hull also gave Vonde a tour of the TRISO-X office, offering insight into our partnership and the innovative work happening there.
