Robot dog, Raidy, and the Roane State Community College Nuclear Technology Program students visited East Tennessee Economic Council (ETEC) on Friday and stole the show! East Tennessee is a nuclear innovation magnet, and innovation can only grow with superb new talent. Joe Hull, PE, our VP of Operations and Business Development, introduced two of our newer employees at last Friday’s morning meeting. Sarah Gluck Griswold is a mechanical engineer who also holds an MBA. Daniel Burns is an I&C engineer with degrees in computer science and photonics. Both are driving innovation, and we are thrilled to have them on our team.

MS Technology proudly served as a sponsor for the 33rd Annual Lunch for Literacy at Oak Ridge High School, organized by Altrusa International and the Oak Ridge Breakfast Rotary Club. All funds raised for this event will be awarded as grants to selected projects targeting literacy deficits across Anderson and Roane counties. Randy Inklebarger, our CEO, along with Deanna Smith, MBA, PMP, Project/Proposal Manager, represented MS Technology at this inspiring gathering. They were moved by the community’s strong support and by keynote speaker, Silas House, a bestselling author known for his seven award-winning novels. This lunch serves as a reminder of how we can unite in our community to change lives.

Oak Ridge National Laboratory and its unique facilities are a national treasure. A design team from MS Technology, Inc., an engineering firm in Oak Ridge, TN, recently toured the Irradiated Fuels Examination Laboratory hot cell to strengthen our understanding of hot cell operations in support of U.S. DOE projects. ORNL has a long history of successfully running hot cells.  The outcome was a better understanding of challenges, successes, and the need for design flexibility when planning future hot cells. A special thanks goes to Fusion and Fission at ORNL and Bruce Bevard, manager of the NRC Projects Office for ORNL.

MS Technology, Inc. works hard, but we like to play hard as well. Last Friday, we took a break from nuclear process design to have some fun with the Southern Professional Hockey League’s Knoxville Ice Bears.

Our VP of Operations and Business Development, Joe Hull, PE, had the opportunity to introduce Lelyn Masters at East Tennessee Economic Council (ETEC)’s Friday Morning Meeting! With great sadness, we reflect on the loss of one our original founders of MS Technology, Kendall Brady, who passed away on September 13th, 2024. After serving 35 years working for contractors in DOE facilities, Kendall, retired from Martin Marietta Energy Systems in 1994. That same year, Kendall, along with three other partners, formed MS Technology, Inc. He later fully retired to spend more time with his family and travel. Kendall was a respected and valued member of this community. Kendall actively served on multiple boards and committed his time volunteering for various organizations in Oak Ridge. Kendall was a truly loved by so many, and he will surely be missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family during this difficult time.

We recently celebrated 30 years of unwavering commitment to engineering excellence, innovation, and a people-first culture that prioritizes integrity and transparency. Our nuclear-rich culture has evolved over the past three decades to thrive in an ever-changing landscape.

I3 is an ETEC-led partnership with schools, students, and companies to bridge the gap between the classroom and experience through internships. This program connects high school students and college students with local businesses for meaningful workforce experience.
